n-COVID19 affects the respiratory system of the human bodies and causes infection. While mosquitoes have known to cause different diseases such as dengue and chikungunya, they do not carry n-COVID19 viruses. Mosquitoes which bite people infected with n-COVID19 are not capable of carrying the virus to other people or animals. The n-COVID19 spreads through nasal discharge, saliva, or droplets of a cough or sneeze of a person infected with the virus. To date, there is no evidence to support the claim that the virus can spread through mosquitoes. To protect yourself from the infection, practice social distancing from anyone who is infected. Social distancing refers to avoiding close contact with people suffering from the illness or showing symptoms of the illness. According to the World Health Organisation, some common symptoms to take note of include dry cough, fever, and tiredness.
